About Our Captain
"Welcome to our website! My name is Daniel Vega. I am originally from Cedar Rapids, IA. I moved to the Lakes Area in 2020 where I reside with my wife, son, and Chocolate Labs.
I work full time at Pure Fishing in Product Development. I am living a lifelong dream of working in the fishing industry. Ever since I can remember, I always wanted to fish for a living. Now, fast forward almost 30 years, that dream has come true. Working at Pure Fishing has allowed me to network with many pros and guides from across the country. Interacting with these individuals has taught me so much. So, rest assured, when you book with us, you will get to experience the hottest trends and techniques.
My favorite species to fish for is bass. But I also enjoy the challenge of chasing walleye. I have recently rediscovered my love for panfish. They offer an enjoyable day on the water regardless of the season.
When you fish with me, you are fishing with someone who has been obsessed with the sport for a very long time. I promise to make sure your outing is one you will remember forever!

What You Get From Us...
We, Iowa Angler Guide Service, offer a one of a kind fishing experience. When you book with us, you will be guided by Owner/Operator, Daniel. The Iowa Angler Guide Service vessel is a Ranger Z20 that is powered by a 225hp Mercury EFI. The boat is equipped with top-of-the-line Lowrance electronics including Forward Facing Sonar - Active Target 2. We will provide all gear that you will need to catch fish. You will have the luxury of using products from the world's top fishing brands such as Berkley, Abu Garcia, Fenwick, Pflueger, and Savage Gear.
When you hop in our boat, we will cater your trip to the bite that you want to experience. Flip for largemouth bass, pull live bait for walleye or twitch small bait for the popular Okoboji panfish. Whatever you want to fish for, we will chase it! Whether you are a seasoned pro or a beginning angler, you are always welcome in our boat.
If you have questions, please ask as many as you want! There is nothing better than helping anglers expand their knowledge of the sport. If it is about tying knots, how to read the forward facing sonar, or how to work a bait - we will make sure to share as much knowledge as possible.
